LPeF – Laser Punching

SERVO ELECTRIC PUNCH-LASER COMBINATION WITH FIBER LASER TECHNOLOGY
Highest flexibility & Lowest Cost per Component
The new servo electric punch laser combination LPe6f by Prima Power is based on truly extensive experience and the latest technological development: punching technology since 1983, servo electric punching since 1998, integrated laser technology since1989.
Technology with flexibility and sustainability
The heart of the new punch laser combination is the servo electric turret punch press. The laser used in the system as its most flexible tool is a 2 kW High Brilliance Fiber laser. Automatic loading has been integrated, and also part removal and sorting are automatic. All options well known from the LPe6 punch-laser technology as well as all automation solutions are available.
With the integrated fiber laser a wider range of material to be cut such as copper or brass. A significant reduction in operating cost is achieved because the laser has no maintenance requirements, no laser gas is needed and need energy consumption is far smaller compared with other solutions.
The latest version of Tulus® operating system supports the user in many ways. Innovative queue and stacking management informs all possible set-up changes between the programs well in advance. Production planning becomes seamless. Integrated tool library with NC Express programming and servo electric punch makes tool setup and adjustment easy and fast. Laser parameter database and online corrector are the user friendly tool for controlling the laser process.
From agile one piece production…
First of all, the punch-laser combi can be operated as a versatile, high performance turret press or just as a laser system. Fast setup, high tool capacity and convenient manual loading and unloading make it a perfect machine tool also for one piece production.
…to full-scale flexible production
In serial production the punch-laser benefits can be utilized to the full. The process starts with automatic loading and ends with automatic removal and sorting of laser cut components. Before that, punching, forming, bending, tapping and marking have been performed, automatically, as programmed.
Of course, the Combi need not operate as an individual cell. There are numerous alternatives to automate the material flow both on the loading and unloading side; e.g. a coil line connection is available. Further, the system can be integrated with a simple raw material storage, or function as central unit in a Prima Power flexible manufacturing system (Compact storage or Night Train FMS®.)
…always with optimized results
… for flexibility and sustainability
In line with Prima Power Green means philosophy, the combination of servo electric punching with fiber laser cutting meets the highest requirements for productivity, equalling high quality and low cost of components fabricated, due to high accuracy and sheet utilization, the lowest energy and maintenance cost in its class and a high level of automation. At the same time the technology is state-of the-art in terms of sustainable manufacturing. Take advantage from the best of both worlds.
