A pioneer and world-leader in the integrated right angle shearing concept since 1987, Prima Power introduces the latest refinement in this highly productive fabrication technology.

The new Shear Brilliance® offers high sheet utilization and productivity with less setup and waiting time. The result is more high-quality components per time unit and at lower cost. Integrated shearing concept allows 10 – 15% higher sheet utilization, and as there are no expensive consumables, running costs are low.

Shear Brilliance® can perform loading, punching, forming, tapping, marking shearing and stacking in a single unit. The 6.4 m axis allows every work stage from loading to shearing to be made without repositioning. Maximum sheet size is up to 1,500 mm x 4,200 mm (SB8).

The punching process is extremely fast due to linear servo technology, 2.2g acceleration, 244 m/min positioning speed (X/Y) as well as hit speed, which is up to 1,400 on 1 mm centres. The famous Prima Power turret technology offers astonishing versatility, and e.g. every station can be indexable. Indexable upforming, tapping and inkjet marking can be added in the same machine.

Fabrication and material handling operations are simultaneous to eliminate waste time. As shearing is performed, the next sheet is already centered for punching to begin immediately.

A wide range of modular equipment is available for sorting and stacking of components in cell operation. Shear Brilliance® can be connected to an automatic sheet storage, a coil line, or integrated in Flexible manufacturing Systems.
