Twin Belt Grinding Machine type ZBS for manual processing of welded corners. With the two parallel running grinding belts – for the coarse grinding and the fine finishing – it is possible to process workpieces in one clamping position.

The triangle design of the grinding head ensures an open working space for the operator to inspect the grinding result and to work in safety. Adjustable belt tension of the two grinding belts of the ZBS models allows a high flexibility of the belt angle. As a result the belts can be swivelled up to 100° in each direction and smooth radii between two adjoining surfaces can be manually produced.

Standard machines have a wooden slat sliding table to carry the workpieces, the table can be manually moved and adjusted. To process 3 dimensional workpieces like boxes or other rectangular cabinets the machine can be equipped with a vacuum clamping fixture or various handling devices. These devices are easy to set up and can be used for higher lot size runs as well as for single piece prototypes.

The grinding belts are pressed onto the surface by easy moving pressure pads or pendulous suspended contact drums give the ability to grind continuously from one surface into the adjoining surface.

A handling device equipped with vacuum clamping makes the ZBS a very flexible universal Long Belt Grinding Machine for the grinding of all sides on multiple any shaped components.

The special belt drive geometry and the pneumatic belt tensioning ensure the flexing of the belts up to 90° to the front and to the rear. Therefore Corner weld seams, contours or smoothing can be processed and done easily.
